Songo

SONGO is a multi-disciplinary artist of Franco-Djiboutian origin, whose career embodies the richness of a cultural mix nourished by life experiences between Africa, Europe and Canada. She draws from this diversity a singular artistic vision, which she deploys through music as a quest for meaning, an intimate and universal field of exploration.

It is through writing and singing that SONGO enters into dialogue with the world, using words and melodies to express her experiences, her questions and her sensitive perception of reality. In 2019, she turns to music production and DJing, creating a deeply immersive hybrid sound universe. She fuses the ancestral rhythms of Africa with Afro-futuristic textures, blending house, baile funk and Afro percussion in spellbinding compositions that are as danceable as they are contemplative.

For SONGO, music is much more than an art: it’s a spiritual language and a gateway to the sacred. Each set becomes an invitation to an inner journey, a sensory and transformative experience where listening becomes ritual. Through her performances, she aims to build bridges between identities, cultures and invisible worlds, guiding listeners in a collective exploration of self and mystery.
