Nessrine Jabeur
Nessrine Jabeur is a talented musician who began her musical journey at a young age. Her parents, who were music lovers, enrolled her at the National Conservatory of Tunis when she was just 8 years old. She initially started learning the piano and continued for two years before deciding to pursue the guitar, which has been her instrument of choice ever since.
Nessrine’s passion for music grew during her time at the pilot high school of arts in El Omrane. It was there that she truly discovered her vocation and began investing more in her musical development through extracurricular activities such as cultural events, festivals, and concerts. Her skills in guitar playing and singing were recognized when she received first prizes in 2006 and 2007, respectively.
In 2012, Nessrine obtained her diploma in Arabic music while simultaneously pursuing her degree at the Higher Institute of Music in Tunis. Alongside her academic studies, she also took a jazz course with Faouzi Chkili, allowing her to explore various musical genres. For over 10 years, she has been actively involved in regional, national, and international festivals and concerts, including the renowned festivals of Hammamet and Carthage. She has also performed abroad in countries such as Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, and Switzerland.
In 2023, Nessrine Jabeur embarked on a musical journey that pushed the boundaries of traditional genres. With her project Aurora, she mesmerized audiences with a captivating fusion of Arabic acoustic music and machines. This innovative blend of traditional and modern elements created a truly unique and immersive musical experience. From her small tour in the United States to her remarkable participation in the esteemed “Journée Musicale de Carthage,” Nessrine showcased her talent, versatility, and willingness to explore new artistic territories. Her ability to seamlessly integrate Arabic acoustic melodies with the cutting-edge sounds of machines demonstrates her artistic vision and solidifies her position as a boundary-pushing musician in the industry.
